Insight Days – generally taking place the day before performances.

5th November at Production Park, Wakefield.

7th and 8th November at Stanley and Audrey Burton Theatre, Leeds

11th November at The Playhouse, Sheffield Theatres.

15th November at Elsecar Heritage Centre, Barnsley

Our Insight Day provides you with a behind the scenes opportunity to observe rehearsals for our newest production and chat with the dancers and choreographer to understand what life as a professional in the creative industries is like.

About Tala Lee-Turton Productions – based in South Yorkshire, we produce an ambitious portfolio of live, screen and immersive dance experiences,  that challenge social and cultural boundaries, built by a network of diverse, self-sufficient and empowered creatives. Our vision is for a world receptive to culturally and socially disruptive creative voices.

About parler femme – parler femme is a dance-based triple bill celebrating innovative and inspiring stories about women, experienced through live performance, screen and immersive technologies. It is being shown at theatres in Barnsley, Wakefield, Sheffield and Leeds in Autumn 2023.

ABOUT OUR INSIGHT DAY

Insight Day schedule – Barnsley/Wakefield/Leeds 10–3:30 and Sheffield 12:30–3:30 (subject to change.)

Observe morning ballet    class and the follow up     discussion and notes.

Observe the behind the scenes prep in the lead up to the technical rehearsal.

Watch the three acts in full as the creative team run through parler femme.

Join the Q & A at the end of the rehearsal with the Creative Team.

Take advantage of a photography opportunity with members of the Creative Team.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

What does it cost?

Depending on the venue, Insights Days cost £100-200 per person to observe and participate. Each Insight Day attendee receives the full performance programme and some bespoke behind the scenes images taken on the day.

In signing up to our Insight Day, you are not only gaining an exclusive behind the scenes insight, you are also making a contribution to our production, helping us to make it a reality alongside public funding from Arts Council England.
